Wayne Tarr is a full-time photographer who enjoys photographing a variety of events, and portraits. His latest photography adventure is photographing dancers and models underwater. Wayne has won numerous awards at the state, regional and national level. The highest awards he won are his 14 selections to the PPA Traveling Loan Collection, and these selections earned Wayne the PPA High Level of Excellence Award in 2015. He became a Certified Professional Photographer and earned his Master of Photography degree in 2006, and became a Photographic Craftsman in 2015. Wayne is one of August’s featured artists at the Artist In Residence Gallery in St. Albans, Vermont.

Brad Blaisdell, As a wood turner, Brad has collected quite an inventory of Vermont species over the past few years. His favorite species to work with are Black Walnut, Black Cherry, Yellow Birch, and Maple Spalted and burls. as well as Apple. In the past five years Brad has turned over 360 bowls. "I hope you enjoy our creations as much as we enjoy creating them."

Donna Blatchly makes one-of-a-kind knit and felted hand bags and has expanded her techniques to include such items as bowls and bangle bracelets. In addition to fiber arts, Donna creates unique imagery using pebbles and other found objects.

Terry Buehner has created jewelry for over 20 years. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and is based on a unique story. Terry's media include polymer clay, wire, wet- and needle-felting, driftwood, stones, and repurposed items such as fabric, bicycle parts, and vintage beads. Barbara Flack's latest works uses cell phone photography and a wide format printer, Barbara works in the digital medium, often enhancing her images with colored pencils and chalk. Barbara learned her technical skills while teaching Multimedia and Design at GMTCC in Hyde Park. Her love of technology and digital art in its many forms, including type, motion, interactivity and graphics, propel her to create.

Tessa Hill is a glass blower with 10 years experience. Her work is driven by reverence for the centuries-old Venetian technique of lamp-work glass, its ability to capture and transform light, and the fluid way that glass can mimic organic forms. The subject matter she is most inspired by is natural imagery.
"I continually return to plant forms, real and fantastical animals, and human cultural references. I enjoy combining dark and light elements in a piece to highlight the ongoing cycle of life. I always inject whimsy into my work. I aim to create works of art that are accessible to the many corners of our community, and bring joy and inspiration to the viewer." Martha McGinn's background in chemistry and medical research informs her approach to the deep colorful glazes of her functional pottery. Explorations in texture, shape, and color result in an ever-expanding body of work. In addition to her wheel-thrown and slab-built work, Martha sculpts expressive angels.

Janice Decooman, Patrick Murphy, Claire Graham-Smith
Janice Decooman creates fiber art, often using angora from her beloved French angora rabbits and natural indigo dye grown in her garden. She enjoys sculpting fiber by needle felting anything from journal covers and wall art to her favorite animals including the rabbits she raises and the canaries that fill her house with song. Janice blends and spins fiber into yarn and knits or weaves them into wraps, capes or hats. Each unique piece is created with a variety of fibers infused with nature's magic; soft wools, silk, angora and mohair, sparkling fibers and delightful textures.

Patrick Murphy had a traditional art education and became a high school art teacher. In addition to constantly drawing, he prefers to paint in oils. Patrick loves the little towns of Northern Vermont and New York, and his latest paintings feature scenes from these locations. Just as Patrick does, viewers can imagine walking down the streets, and entering the buildings.

Janice Decooman, a life-long artist, began weaving in traditional Navajo style in her mid-twenties. After a formal art education and a career teaching art in public schools, she has continued to explore more challenging woven work. Lori Niederer has been painting for many years. Her current watercolors are inspired by the skies, mountains and lakes of Vermont and New York. She strives to share the beauty she finds with others through a continuing study of light and color and impressions. She lives in Fairfield, Vermont and the Adirondacks of New York where she skis, sails, canoes and roams around. Barry Genzlinger learned as a child to build things, and was taught by his grandfather to turn wood pieces on a lathe. In recent years he discovered an aptitude for making small things, first spinning tops and then small bowls, using a wide variety of woods, including reclaimed and repurposed wood. His smallest piece, to date, is a goblet that is only 1/4 inch in diameter.

Maureen Genzlinger makes decorative fiber ornaments using a variety of materials including silk ribbons, hand spun and hand dyed threads, and textured yarns. Since she began this pursuit in 1979, her process has evolved to include complex wrapping techniques. In addition to single ornaments, multiple forms are combined into mobiles and beautiful display stands are created from reclaimed wood scraps. Maureen is one of December's featured artists at the Artist in Residence Gallery in St. Albans, Vermont.

Cherie Marshall Color and form are the key elements of Cherie's work. She is inspired by what she sees in nature and by other forms of artwork, which she reinterprets in glass. Anne Standish's roots are in sewing and quilting, and art quilts are her avocation. She has devoted much of her creative energy to finding new ways to make representational images of real places with fabric, photographs printed onto fabric, thread and paint. In her latest work, she focused on detailed improvisational threadwork, creating dense color and texture as well as a story line.

David Juaire's early years on a dairy farm provided him with an appreciation of the beautiful pastoral scenes of Vermont. This self-taught photographer has been shooting landscapes, his favorite subject, for over thirty years. Sally Tarr, as a Fiber Artist Sally has taken the art of felting wool to a higher level. Her work includes historic reproductions of the “penny rug” and works the format to make them more contemporary, and in other useful products. Sally also produces whimsical pictures made of appliquéd wool. “I have always enjoyed exploring new techniques in my art and now include felted soaps and needle felted figures.” Sally’s collection includes a wide variety of holiday wool pieces. Her newest art work includes quilling or paper filigree, a beautiful and delicate paper art. Sally is one of November’s featured artists at the Artist In Residence Gallery in St. Albans, Vermont.
Shanna Ratner makes one-of-a-kind tile mosaics from recycled ceramics. She also makes block prints that are individually carved, inked, pulled, and sometimes painted. El Towle, As a retired Art Teacher I enjoy spending my winters stoking the fires and working on themed painting series.
Having my home and studio on Lake Champlain inspired my latest vibrant series of work. Misty lake scapes, sunsets, birds on the shore are just a few examples of the subjects I explored in preparation for this show. I enjoy working in several mediums and especially enjoy the richness of oil paint or the translucency of acrylic. Deborah Travis is a watercolor painter and fiber artist. Both her watercolors and her fiber works incorporate drawing, various dyes, and resists.
