Understanding and documenting the essence of life’s intricacies is what is so important in photography. I continually strive to capture these moments whether it be on a safari in Africa, walking along Hadrian’s Wall in England, photographing a family reunion or a senior portrait. My photography portrays the spirit, the heart, and the heat of the moment, evoking emotion, and conversations as seen through the lens. For me, that is what photography is all about.
I started out photographing the human body in the environment and backed into becoming a commercial photographer. In the past several years, I have moved away from that and now combine my love of travel with my passion for photography and consider myself a travel photographer. I enjoy creating and executing amazing workshops and cultural tours abroad. I am involved with the Vermont Professional Photographers Association (VPP) and have been acknowledged through VPP, the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and SEABA with numerous awards. I have also had the privilege of being published in several of the PPA’s loan collection and showcase books.
