El Towle as a retired Art Teacher I enjoy spending my winters stoking the fires and working on themed painting series. Having my home and studio on Lake Champlain inspired my latest vibrant series of work. Misty lake scapes, sunsets, birds on the shore are just a few examples of the subjects I explored in preparation for this show. I enjoy working in several mediums and especially enjoy the richness of oil paint or the translucency of acrylic.

Theme for People's Choice 2021 is: "EYE TO EYE"
The AIR Gallery has once again asked members to participate in our very popular People's Choice Event. Member artists have entered a piece of art depicting their interpretation of this year's theme. Voting takes place for anyone visiting the gallery, they'll be asked to look for the PEOPLE'S CHOICE artwork and place a vote for their favorite. The two members with the most votes at the end of July will have bragging rights and photographs taken of their winning artwork to be made into cards and sold to benefit Artist in Residence Gallery.

a window to the soul that perhaps was there all along. "Instead of seeking new landscapes, develop new eyes." - Marcel Proust |
