DAVID JUAIRE
I was born and raised on a dairy farm in Franklin County, Vermont. I have always appreciated the beauty and solitude of the remote pastoral scenes all around me; the meadows, brooks, woods, stone walls, and mountains. When I viewed the photos in Vermont Life magazine I just knew I wanted to share what was all around me, so I purchased a Minolta 35 mm camera and started selling pictures to Vermont Life Magazine about thirty years ago. I moved up to a Pentax 2 ¼ film camera, then to a Nikon digital camera. They all worked for me. “People take pictures, not cameras”.
I am a self-taught photographer. My favorite subject to shoot is landscape scenes, even though I did many weddings, senior portraits and wildlife photos. I have sold over ninety calendar pictures for the Co-op Insurance Company. The photos I sold to Vermont Life Magazine include desk calendars and special publications like the VT Department of Tourism. I also sold images to a national magazine company in Pennsylvania that sold poster prints through their magazine called The Framing Loft. I am a member of the Bryan Memorial Gallery and also a past member of the Artist in Residence, Enosburg Falls. I live in Georgia, Vermont Please call me at 777-0460 or 524-2335 with any questions. |
