PAMELA KROUT - VOSS
Pam Krout-Voss is best known for her art works using fibers. Her art includes vessels of assorted shapes and sizes wrapped in many varied textures and colors. Besides vessels, Pam has been known to create sculptures of birds, pears and animals. She plays with varied media besides fibers including clays, paper mache, wool and objects from nature. Her work often reflects her love of the outdoors, concern for the environment and “birding”.
Pamela is also known for her book making. Inspired by teacher/book maker Linda Lembke of Guilford, Vermont, Pam creates journals and sketchbooks using varied techniques, incorporating fibers and hand decorated papers. She has written and self published a children’s book on the Great Blue Heron. Pam’s art stems from a passion to work with her hands, to investigate, learn and to reflect. Recently retired from teaching, Pam has been incorporating old skills like macrame, knitting and crocheting into her art works. As she says, “Nature and nurture go hand in hand and there is no end to the search and quest to learn more and reflect upon this world’s wonders through ART”. |
