I have always loved making things and learning new ways to be creative. I’ve dabbled in beaded jewelry, fiber arts and stained glass with more unfinished projects than I can count. Metalwork had always interested me so I signed up for classes with Jane Frank at Werkstatt in Burlington. After my first class, I immediately knew I had found my niche and eventually started my business, llusso, in 2018.
I work in mixed metals, using sterling silver, brass and copper. I also love to repurpose vintage sterling silver items with interesting designs and incorporate it into jewelry pieces and components. Gemstone cabochons, beads and various finishing techniques add texture and color to create unique designs. I enjoy creating each and every piece because of the limitless combinations of materials that can be transformed into jewelry that is both original and fun to wear. My business name comes from lusso, the Italian word for luxury. I added the extra “l” for my pet llamas whose quirky personalities always make me smile.
