July 2019 Themed, Special Exhibit, People's Choice
For many years the AIR gallery has sponsored a "People's Choice" Award in the month of July. This event is very successful in engaging the community and encouraging our customers to take a closer look. Visitors to the gallery are invited to vote on their favorite piece, and they may vote more than once. The Theme this year (2019) is "Sunflowers" and it is free to the artists interpretation. Representational or abstract, realistic or fanciful, literal or imaginative. Each piece that is participating will be on display and identified by a special wall card or card on the shelf. There will be two categories, one for wall art that can be reproduced and one for shelf or three -dimensional work. The "winner" of the first category will allow the gallery to make giclee copies of the work. The winners of 2019, Donna Blatchly was the first place winner of this years People's Choice Event and Ann Standish was second. Their pictures will be made into cards and prints that will be for sale in the gallery as fundraisers.
